HSBC

Manufacturing a Global, Division-Crossing "WE" at HSBC international investment bank - A Short-term coaching intervention. HSBC is a multinational investment bank, the second largest in Europe, with total assets of US$2.984 trillion.

The challenge

Private and commercial banking divisions needed help working together as one team.

What we did

Our intervention process started with organizing and coordinating an international workshop, the content of which was explicitly focused on the value - and implementation – of collaborative practices across divisions and state lines. Sixty division managers worldwide took part in the workshop, receiving the training and the tools to serve as organizational "collaboration agents" in their respective countries and banking divisions.

Anat employed a variety of powerful coaching tools and displayed exceptional mastery throughout the two-day offsite to generate a real step-change in attitudes and behaviors across the global teams. Furthermore, the conference has been a pivotal element in our collaboration initiatives, supporting a 130% increase in monies referred to the Private Bank in 2014 (vs. 2013). There can be no more remarkable testament to the efficacy of Anat's coaching. As a result, we have moved on to collaborating with Anat in different markets and for our efforts with the Retail Banking and Wealth Management division. I cannot recommend Anat strongly enough
